Short Bio
Laurel Kulow is a director, writer, producer, and editor. Her short film All You Want To Know was selected for the 2022 Portland Film Festival and Austin Indie Fest, where she won Best Director and her film was nominated for Best Short Film. The script for her short was a finalist for the 2020 Atlanta Film Festival and the 2020 Blue Cat Screenplay Competition.
Laurel has worked at ViacomCBS where she produced digital content for Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and BET. Before that she worked in the production department for Vice Media’s television station - ViceTV. She also works as the Production Manager for My 600 Lb Life on TLC.
Laurel is an Executive Producer and co-founder of Let That Marinate Productions and a part of the comedy sketch duo Shabs & Laurel Forever. Her comedy work has been featured on Funny or Die and Whohaha. She created, directed, and acted in the web series’ Letters to Quarantine and Impodsters. She’s produced many short films including Mr. Oberbeck, which premiered at the Lower East Side Film Festival, and The Woods, which premiered at the 2018 Brooklyn Horror Fest.
Laurel graduated with a B.A. in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California. She is a member of the WGA.
