Short Bio
Elysia Van Deusen was shocked by 220 volts of electricity and sent to the ER her first day crewing a film. Undeterred, she returned to set the next day. In the intervening years she has worked on full-fledged studio pictures, micro-budget indies, commercials, documentaries, sales videos, reality TV, and live broadcast news in a wide range of roles. Her most recent narrative credits are for writing, directing/ADing, and art department on short films.
An empath and a problem solver, creative but with a respectable spreadsheet habit, Elysia believes that people need stories and art. Ask to read her feature screenplay "Painterly," in which art speaks to a single mom -- literally. Or invite her to collaborate or day-play on your projects. She's always eager to get back on set.
