Alexandra Chando is a Director, Producer, and Emmy nominated Actor. She got her start in the entertainment industry as an actress--with over 20 years of experience on network TV and film. Chando has been a series regular on shows for major networks like NBC, The CW, FOX and most notably playing twins on "The Lying Game", as well as guest stars on network series and a recurring role on Amazon’s “Sneaky Pete”. After becoming interested in directing, Chando began shadowing directors on network TV series (ABC’s “Mistresses”, Fox/Marvel’s “The Gifted”), totaling over 400 on-set hours. Since 2017 she has directed multiple short films, an independent TV pilot and most recently her first feature film, "And On the Eighth Day". As the Festival Manager of Mammoth Film Festival™ and the Executive Director of HER VOICE, an initiative aiming to create accessibility and opportunities to emerging female filmmakers, Chando has immersed herself in filmmaking and is dedicated to making strides in gender parity. In 2020, she launched “The Her Voice Podcast”, a podcast about getting candid and having meaningful conversations with females (and males) in the entertainment industry. Chando was a cohort in the 2022 class of the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors Program.

Jenni Wieland first made her name as a production accountant in Los Angeles and Austin, working at home and on-location around the globe. Though not seen as a particularly glamorous position, Ms Wieland found that her role as Accountant allowed her to work closely with and learn from some of the top Producers and industry professionals in the world, and it was this access that has allowed her to step into the roles of Production Supervisor and Line Producer. Jenni graduated from the RTF- film production program at the University of Texas at Austin in the 90s and moved to L.A. to work on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. After several years in Hollywood, she returned home to find a thriving industry and began work with such luminaries as Richard Linklater, Robert Rodriguez, DAvid Gordon Green and Terrence Malick. Throughout her career, Jenni has always maintained a particular love of Independent films and hopes to continue to support artistic and important stories through her work. Jenni is also an accomplished French Horn player and has contributed to several recordings, live bands and even a few soundtracks.

This intimate fireside chat style conversation is hosted by our very own powerhouse, the Women in Film & Television Advisory Board's Mindy Raymond. They invite an industry friend to come and talk, and give members an exclusive opportunity to listen in. After the conversation, members, host and guest will have a chance to socialize-fostering new connections, inspiring new ideas, and making new friends.
